Taxonomy
Natica lunaris was named by Berry (1964) [m. kosnik taxon no: 10169]. Its type specimen is S. S. Berry collection, Redlands, California and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Natica (Lunaia) lunaris by Marincovich (1977).
