Andemantastraea was named by Alloiteau (1951) [Sepkoski's age data: J Toar J u Sepkoski's reference number: 183]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Andemantastraeidae by Beauvais (1986); and to Scleractinia by Sepkoski (2002).
