Annoticyathus was named by Barta-Calmus (1973) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo Sepkoski's reference number: 658]. It is not extant. Its type is Annoticyathus provincialis.

It was assigned to Caryophylliidae by Barta-Calmus (1973); and to Scleractinia by Sepkoski (2002).
