Taxonomy
Ornopsis digressa was named by Wade (1926) [m. kosnik taxon no: 2873]. Its type locality is Dave Weeks place, Coon Creek, which is in a Campanian coastal sandstone in the Ripley Formation of Tennessee.

It was recombined as Ornopsis (Pornosis) digressa by Sohl (1964).
