Taxonomy
Paladmete gardneri was named by Wade [m. kosnik taxon no: 1265]. Its type locality is Dave Weeks place, Coon Creek, which is in a Maastrichtian coastal sandstone in the Ripley Formation of Tennessee.

It was corrected as Paladmete gardnerae by Kosnik (2002).
