Antillophyllia was named by Vaughan (1932) [Sepkoski's age data: T Ol-u T Plio]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Faviidae by Wells (1956) and Squires (1999); to Scleractinia by Sepkoski (2002); and to Trachyphylliidae by López-Pérez (2005).
