It was assigned to Poromyacea by Newell (1965) and Vokes (1980); to Septibranchia by Bieler and Mikkelsen (2006); and to Poromyoidea by Coan et al. (2000), Nevesskaja (2009), Bouchet et al. (2010) and Carter et al. (2011).
