Taxonomy
Psolidae was named by Perrier (1902) [m. kosnik taxon no: 10545]. It is extant. It was considered monophyletic by Kerr and Kim (2001).

It was assigned to Holothuroidea by Perrier (1902) and Rowe and Gates (1995); and to Dendrochirotida by Pawson (1966), Smith and Gallemi (1991), Gilliland (1993), Kerr and Kim (2001) and Applegate et al. (2009).
