Testallium was named by Vermeij (1997) [m. kosnik taxon no: 7113]. Its type is Gastridium cepa.

It was assigned to Pseudolivinae by Vermeij (1998); and to Pseudolividae by Nielsen and Frassinetti (2003).

Synonyms
  • Gastridium was named by Sowerby (1842) [m. kosnik taxon no: 7121].

    It was synonymized subjectively with Pseudoliva by Vermeij (1998); it was synonymized subjectively with Testallium by Vermeij (1998).
