It was corrected as Volutoidea by Ward (1992), Kosnik (2002), Stilwell et al. (2004) and Rosenberg et al. (2006).

It was assigned to Rachiglossa by Rivera (1957); to Gymnoglossa by Ward and Blackwelder (1987); to Stenoglossa by Sohl (1964) and Ward (1992); to Neotaenioglossa by Stilwell et al. (2004); and to Neogastropoda by Gliozzi and Malatesta (1983), Kosnik (2002) and Rosenberg et al. (2006).
