Taxonomy
Craspedophyllia was named by Volz (1896) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Carn-l Tr Rhae Sepkoski's reference number: 919,920]. It is not extant. Its type is Craspedophyllia cristata.

It was assigned to Procyclolitidae by Turnsek (1997); to Scleractinia by Sepkoski (2002); to Alpinophylliidae by Roniewicz et al. (2005); and to Reimaniphylliidae by Stanley and Onoue (2015).
