  • Gavialis leptodus was named by Cautley (1868). Its type specimen is NHMUK R.39806, a mandible (mandibular ramus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chandigarh (general region), which is in a Pliocene/Pleistocene terrestrial horizon in India.

    It was considered a nomen dubium by Martin (2019).
  • Gavialis curvirostris was named by Lydekker (1886). Its type specimen is IM E 26, a partial skull (orbital region and the anterior tip of the rostrum), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Laki Hills, which is in a Miocene terrestrial horizon in Pakistan.

    It was considered a nomen dubium by Martin (2019).
  • Gavialis pachyrhynchus was named by Lydekker (1886). Its type specimen is IM E 30, a partial skull (anterior portion of rostrum), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Laki Hills, which is in a Miocene terrestrial horizon in Pakistan.

  • Atacisaurus glareae was named by Astre (1931). Its type specimen is Lost, a mandible (Anterior portion of a mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Laure-Minervois, which is in a Bartonian fluvial sandstone in France.

    It was considered a nomen dubium by Jouve (2016).
