Taxonomy
Murchisonia liufengshanensis was named by Cook and Pan (2004). Its type specimen is NIGP 135359. Its type locality is near Pingtian Reservoir, which is in a Givetian reef, buildup or bioherm lime mudstone in the Tungkangling Formation of China.
