Taxonomy
Necronectes nodosa was named by Schweitzer et al. (2002). Its type specimen is MHN-UABCS/SJ5/6-690 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is San Juan de La Costa Decapods, which is in a Chattian marginal marine mudstone in the El Cien Formation of Mexico.
