Taxonomy
Dendraraea was named by d'Orbigny (1849) [Sepkoski's age data: J Bath-l K l Sepkoski's reference number: 2]. Its type is Dendraraea racemosa.

It was assigned to Actinacididae by Fischer (1969) and Draganescu and Beauvais (1985); to Scleractinia by Sepkoski (2002); and to Microsolenidae by Baron-Szabo (2002) and Pandey and Fürsich (2003).
