Taxonomy
Vulpavoides germanica was named by Matthes (1952). Its type specimen is 10127/14/II, Geologisch-Paläontologisches Institut Halle/Saale. Its type locality is Geiseltal, Nw II, Neumark-West, Streufunde, which is in an Eocene lacustrine horizon in Germany.
