Taxonomy
Dimorphocoeniopsis was named by Zlatarski (1967) [Sepkoski's age data: K Barr K m Sepkoski's reference number: 658]. It is not extant. Its type is Dimorphocoeniopsis beauvaisorum.

It was assigned to Scleractinia by Sepkoski (2002); and to Montlivaltiinae by Baron-Szabo (2002).
