Peneteius aquilonius
Taxonomy
Peneteius aquilonius was named by Estes (1969). Its type specimen is MCZ 3612, a mandible (partial right dentary with four teeth and the bases of four others), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bug Creek Anthills, which is in a Maastrichtian coarse channel fill sandstone in the Hell Creek Formation of Montana.
