J. L. Franzen and H. Haubold 1986 | Estimated skull-length of adult individual 150-170 mm. Teeth usually bigger than P. parvulum and smaller thean P. hassiacum/P. isselanum. Compared to P. parvulum the molars distal increase in size, compared to P. hassiacum and P. isselanum the molars are smaller. In the Lower Coal (Unterkohle) the relief of the outer wall of the upper molars already are stronger than of P. parvulum. The upper molars especially lingual are broader and shorten than P. hassiacum and P. isselanum. Like P. parvulum it has tall and slender limbs, unequal P. hassiacum and P. isselanum. The skeletal bones often 30% bigger than P. parvulum and 22-37% smaller than P. hassiacum /P. isselanum (scapula). |
