Chambinycteris pusilli

Taxonomy
Chambinycteris pusilli was named by Ravel et al. (2016). Its type specimen is tooth and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jebel Chambi, which is in a Ypresian/Lutetian lacustrine limestone in the Chambi Formation of Tunisia. It is the type species of Chambinycteris.

A. Ravel et al. 2016Chiroptère ayant une formule dentaire ?/?I ; 1/1C ; 3/3P ; 3/3M. Orbite très en avant du crâne ; mandibule à proces- sus coronoïde haut et arrondi. Canines supérieures et inférieures réduites ; P2 uniradiculée de taille équivalente à P3 ; bord buc- cal de M1 bien incliné, ectolophe formant un « W » bien ouvert mais comprimé buccolingualement ; talon fortement projeté distolingualement muni d’un bassin très réduit ; cingulum lin- gual épais formant un petit hypocône ; M3 avec métacône bien formé, paralophe et cingulum lingual peu prononcés. p2 et p3 uniradiculées ; molaires inférieures nyctalodontes avec trigonide et talonide de largeur et longueur équivalentes ; entoconide faible et incliné distalement ; talonide plus long mais aussi large que le trigonide.
