Enallhelia was named by Milne-Edwards and Haime (1849) [Sepkoski's age data: J m K Apti-l Sepkoski's reference number: 819]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Oculinidae by Koby (1895); to Euheliidae by Roniewicz (1976); to Euhellidae by Turnsek (1997); to Scleractinia by Sepkoski (2002); and to Euheliinae by Pandey and Fürsich (2005).
