Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
J. Gründel and A. Nützel 2012The shell is cylindrical to elongated oval. The last whorl has more or less straight flanks which are parallel to each other (cylindrical shape) or converge in abapical direction. The whorls embrace at or somewhat below the subsutural ramp. The shell is smooth or has a weak spiral ornament (furrows, striae). The aperture is high and narrow in its apical part and somewhat broadened abapically. Columellar folds may be present or absent. The protoconch is heterostrophic (sinistral) and generally smooth. It has a more or less heliciform shape; its orientation varies from coaxial to transaxial.
