Diagnosis
Reference | Diagnosis | |
---|---|---|
N. Kito and P. De Wever 1994 | This family is used for forms with spherical shells, excluding those forms from the Families Praeconocaryommidae and Pantanelliidae. This usage corresponds to the Actinommidae sensu Riedel (1967). Since the genealogy of these forms is not yet sufficiently known, we prefer to follow a
conservative path and group these forms in one family, although they may represent a polyphyletic group as mentioned previously by Riedel (1967), De Wever (1982), etc. This usage is approximately equivalent to the Actinommidae and Ethmosphaeridae sensu I(qzur and Mostler (1979). |
