Palaeophis casei
Taxonomy
Palaeophis casei was named by Holman (1982). Its type specimen is PU 23488, a skeleton (Trunk vertebra), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Case Estuary Number 1, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in Mississippi.
