Taxonomy
Cyrtodiscus kuruktagensis was named by Yü (1986). Its type locality is Mohershan, Kuruktag, which is in a Nangaoian carbonate limestone in the Xidashan Formation of China.

It was recombined as Anabarella kuruktagensis by Wagner (2023).
