Spongioolithus hirschi
Taxonomy
Spongioolithus hirschi was named by Bray (1999). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UCM 47620, an egg (eggshell fragments), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is One Egg Locality, which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial horizon in the North Horn Formation of Utah.
