It was assigned to Therizinosauria by Zanno (2010) and Pu et al. (2013); and to Therizinosauroidea by Kirkland et al. (2005), Zanno (2006), Naish and Martill (2007), Li et al. (2007), Li et al. (2008), Li (2008), Zanno (2010), Senter et al. (2012) and Milàn et al. (2015).
