Taxonomy
Scenella depressa was named by Kiær (1916). Its type locality is Holmia fauna, Tomten [Sparagmite Fm], which is in a Botomian deep subtidal shale/sandstone in the Ringstrand Formation of Norway.
It was recombined as Marocella depressa by Geyer (1986) and Wagner (2023).
