Taxonomy
Hexasaturnalis was named by Kozur and Mostler (1983) [Sepkoski's age data: J m K u Sepkoski's reference number: ZR88]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Hexasaturnalinae.

It was assigned to Hexasaturnalinae by De Wever et al. (2001); and to Spumellaria by Sepkoski (2002).
