Calamosaurus
Taxonomy
Calamosaurus was named by Lydekker (1891). Its type is Calamospondylus foxi.
It was synonymized subjectively with Calamospondylus by Nopcsa (1901), Swinton (1936), Romer (1956), Tatarinov (1964), Romer (1966) and Steel (1970); it was considered a nomen dubium by Naish et al. (2001).
It was assigned to Coeluridae by Lydekker (1891) and Van Den Broeck (1900); to Coelurosauria by Ruiz-Omeñaca and Canudo (2003); and to Tyrannosauroidea by Naish and Martill (2007).
