Taxonomy
Odontocyathoides was named by Kolosvary (1956) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo Sepkoski's reference number: 658]. It is not extant. Its type is Odontocyathoides semiarmatus.

It was assigned to Caryophylliidae by Kolosvary (1956); and to Scleractinia by Sepkoski (2002).
