Taxonomy
Haplocanthosaurus delfsi was named by McIntosh and Williams (1988). Its type specimen is CMNH 10380, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Delfs Quarry, Garden Park (CMNH), which is in a Kimmeridgian/Tithonian crevasse splay mudstone/sandstone in the Morrison Formation of Colorado.
