Taxonomy
Voluta eomagna was named by Vokes (1939) [questionably referred to Voluta by Vokes Lower-Middle Eocene; California]. Its type specimen is UCMP 15789 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Lapparia eomagna by Vokes (1939) and Squires (2001).
