It was assigned to Ecdysozoa by Zrzavy et al. (1998) and Nielsen (2012).

Synonyms

Lobopoda is a phylum. It was considered paraphyletic by Smith and Ortega-Hernández (2014).

It was synonymized subjectively with Onychophora by Zrzavy et al. (1998); it was considered an invalid subgroup of Panarthropoda by Smith and Ortega-Hernández (2014).

It was assigned to Metazoa by Sepkoski (2002) and Bambach et al. (2007).
Ilyodes was named by Scudder (1890).

It was considered a nomen dubium by Murdock et al. (2016).

It was assigned to Eoscolopendridae by Scudder (1890); to Myriapoda by Hoffman (1969); and to Onychophora by Smith and Ortega-Hernández (2014).
