Changpeipus carbonicus
Taxonomy
Changpeipus carbonicus was named by Young (1960). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is IVPP V2470, 2472, a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Sungsankang coal mine tracksite, which is in a Jurassic terrestrial coal/sandstone in the Tuntianying Formation of China.

S. Zhen et al. 1989 | Quadrupedal, tridactyl, semi-plantigrade. No trace of the hallux. About three to four times larger than Grallator (Jeholosauripus) s-satoi. The pes length is 29.2–38.2 cm and the width is 19.3–23.4 cm. The angles between the digits are II-26°-III-36*-IV. General outline is deltoid. Fourth digit projects farther than the second. Manus print present with digits I-III. Digit III is rudimentary. The manus length is 13.3 cm and the width is 7.0 cm. The angles between the digits are I-35°-II-18°-III. |
