Baena arenosa

Taxonomy
Baena arenosa was named by Leidy (1870). Its type specimen is USNM 103, a partial shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is junction of the Big Sandy and Green river, which is in a Ypresian/Lutetian terrestrial horizon in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Baena.
