Martin 2007Nasals do not meet posteriorly, pronounced interorbital ridges on frontal and prefrontal, constricted parietal between craniocaudally elongate supratemporal fenestrae, depression on the dorsal surface of the squamosal, laterally expanded quadrate, quadrate condyles separated by a ridge on the dorsal surface, small incisive foramen that does not reach the premaxillary-maxillary suture, absence of premaxillary-maxillary notch, maxillary alveoli generally homodont with gradual rostral increase in size, and no enlargement of fourth or fifth alveoli (Buscalioni et al, 1997), fine and shallow pitting on dorsal surface of cranium, alveoli small relative to the size of the cranium, heterodont dentition with anterior spatulated teeth and three posterior globular teeth, quadrate with pronounced mediolaterally oriented muscle scar, prominent M. depressor mandibulae scar on the exoccipital, very small capitate process of the laterosphenoid, absence of external mandibular fenestra, prominent medial shelf of the splenial, enlarged medial mandibular fossa (one-third the mandibular length), prominent medially shifted muscle scar on the angular, at the border of the mandibular fossa, wide longitudinal shelf on the dorsal surface of the surangular, high profile of the posterior part of the mandibular ramus, toothrow well below the level of the surangular, short mandibular toothrow, less than half the mandibular length.
