Cardiodon rugulosus

Taxonomy
Cardiodon rugulosus was named by Owen (1844). Its type specimen is (lost), a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire (BMNH), which is in a Bathonian terrestrial horizon in the Forest Marble Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Cardiodon.

It was recombined as Cetiosaurus rugulosus by Steel (1970); it was considered a nomen dubium by McIntosh (1990).
