Lonchidion selachos
Taxonomy
Lonchidion selachos was named by Estes (1964). Its type specimen is UCMP 53897 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lull 2 Quarry (UCMP V-5620), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial sandstone in the Lance Formation of Wyoming.
It was recombined as Lissodus selachos by Duffin (1985) and Bryant (1989).
