Ischyrhiza avonicola

Taxonomy
Ischyrhiza avonicola was named by Estes (1964). Its type specimen is UCMP 53917, a tooth (complete rostral tooth), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lull 2 Quarry (UCMP V-5620), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial sandstone in the Lance Formation of Wyoming.

It was recombined as Ischirhiza avonicola by Cappetta (1973); it was recombined as Texatrygon avonicola by Wynd et al. (2020).
