Taxonomy
Navahopus falcipollex was named by Baird (1980). Its type specimen is MNA G2.7092 (P3.339) and is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Coppermine Trading Post tracksite, MNA 226, which is in a Pliensbachian/Toarcian dune sandstone in the Navajo Sandstone Formation of Arizona.
