Taxonomy
Amphicticeps dorog was named by Wang et al. (2005). It is not extant. Its type specimen is MAE SG.9194. Its type locality is Tsagan Nor Basin, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial claystone in the Hsanda Gol Formation of Mongolia.
