Taxonomy
Magnoavipes lowei was named by Lee (1997). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is DMNH 918, a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Murell Park tracksite, SMU Loc. 234 (Arlington Mbr), which is in a Cenomanian/Cenomanian floodplain sandstone in the Lewisville Formation of Texas.
