Taxonomy
Coelurosaurichnus grancieri was named by Courel and Demathieu (2000). Its type specimen is Université de Bourgogne à Dijon, no. 2-7 and is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Payzac (F2), which is in a Carnian terrestrial sandstone in the Grès supérieurs et Argiles associés Formation of France.
