Taxonomy
Jeanthieuloyites was named by Cooper (1981). Its type is Rogersites quinquestriatus.

It was synonymized subjectively with Olcostephanus by Wright et al. (1996).

It was assigned to Ammonoidea by Faraoni et al. (1997); and to Holcodiscidae by Avram and Gradinaru (1993), Vasicek (2002) and Lukeneder (2005).
