Euomphalus sanctisabae was named by Roemer (1849). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Straparollus sanctisabae by Miller (1889) and Bassler (1915); it was recombined as Lecanospira sanctisabae by Sellards et al. (1932), Dake and Bridge (1932), Bridge and Cloud (1947), Cloud and Barnes (1948) and Spelman (1966).
