Watsonella

Taxonomy
Watsonella was named by Grabau (1900) [Sepkoski's age data: V N-Da Cm Atda Sepkoski's reference number: 1006]. Its type is Watsonella crosbyi. It is the type genus of Watsonellinae.

It was assigned to Helcionelloida by Wagner (1997); to Ribeirioida by Sepkoski (2002); to Watsonellinae by Parkhaev (2001), Parkhaev (2002) and Bouchet et al. (2005); and to Mollusca by Kouchinsky et al. (2017).
