Taxonomy
Tricycloseris was named by Tomes (1878) [Sepkoski's age data: J Plie Sepkoski's reference number: 834,919]. Its type is Tricycloseris anningi.

It was assigned to Procyclolitidae by Wells (1956); to Scleractinia by Sepkoski (2002); and to Microsolenidae by Pandey and Fürsich (2003).
