Taxonomy
Zardinophyllum was named by Montanaro-Gallitelli (1975) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Ladi Tr Carn Sepkoski's reference number: 919]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Zardinophyllidae by Roniewicz and Michalík (1998); and to Scleractinia by Sepkoski (2002).
