It was reranked as the subfamily Pseudomorphinae by Lawrence and Newton (1995); it was reranked as the tribe Pseudomorphini by LeConte (1861) and Bouchard et al. (2011).

It was assigned to Coleoptera by Hope (1838); to Ozaenidae by LeConte (1861); to Adephaga by Lawrence and Newton (1995); and to Harpalinae by Bouchard et al. (2011).
